L/E Electric Automobiles started to investigate the possibility of producing an electro mechanical vehicle for the American market in the year 2000. We did research on neighborhood vehicles and electric utility vehicles:

• The Kewet, produced in Norway, built by ELBIL NORGE of Oslo.
• The REVA built in India.
• Products and materials used in the very successful Golf Cart and Electric Fork Lift Industry.

This research enabled us to design a vehicle that will satisfy the needs of the American family. A vehicle that:

• Makes short runs on city streets to and from markets, schools or appointments.
• Doesn’t use gasoline and is friendly to the environment.
• Is built for comfort with a minimum of extras.
• Has an affordable price.

WHERE AND WHEN

The Intimate Battery Electric Vehicle will be developed and built in Van Nuys, California using components from around the world as well as suppliers in the U.S.A.
